WHAT IS THE DISTANCE OF THIS RADIO
Using the Motorola CP100D 2-Way Radios in mountainous terrain changes the picture quite a bit, so it’s worth explaining how that affects item number 29326. Two-way radios depend heavily on line of sight. Mountains, ridges, deep cuts, and uneven terrain all act like physical walls for a UHF signal. In flat country you can sometimes squeeze out a couple of miles, but in true mountain terrain you should expect the usable range to vary widely. On a ridge-to-ridge path with nothing directly in the way, the radios can still perform well. Once you drop into a valley or have a hillside between you and the other radio, the range can fall to a fraction of a mile.
